NAI apollo brokers large transactions worth €600m

Frankfurt am Main, 23.02.2018 – In the past nine months, owner-managed real estate consultancy NAI apollo – partner of the NAI apollo group – brokered the sale of ten office and residential properties in the Rhine-Main region alone, with a total value of about €600 million. The office properties accounted for approx. €510 million of the overall volume and residential units for the remaining €90 million. About 90 % of the deals took place in the Frankfurt am Main city area. Many of the buyers have an international background, and French, US and Israeli investors were particularly active in the city on the river Main.

The past nine months therefore represent one of the strongest sales periods for Frankfurt am Main-based NAI apollo in its 30-year history. The sale of the former "Vodafone-Haus" in Eschborn was one of the largest individual transactions. The 41,000-sqm office building was acquired by a fund managed by J.P. Morgan.

NAI apollo also expects market conditions to remain good in 2018. COO Andreas Wende said: "There is huge demand in the Rhine-Main region. However, at this point in time it's difficult to predict whether the market will perform better in 2018 than in 2017."

NAI apollo believes there is still potential, particularly in Frankfurt itself. Lenny Lemler, co-head of investment at NAI apollo, said: "The positive economic development, Brexit and the continuing influx of people into the region are driving demand for all asset classes in Frankfurt. Thus it will become increasingly difficult for private and professional investors to find suitable properties. However, we are still able to secure profitable investment opportunities for our customers owing to our extensive knowledge of the Frankfurt market and our business approach."
