NAI apollo negotiates letting of 5,000 sqm of storage and office space to MSG Frucht on former air base in Erlensee

Frankfurt am Main, 25.01.2018 – Owner-managed real estate consultancy NAI apollo – partner of the NAI apollo group – brokered a lease contract between the tenant MSG Frucht GmbH and the landlord, project developer Fäth Immobilien, for a logistics property with a usable area of 5,000 sqm, located on the former US military air base in Erlensee. NAI apollo was awarded the exclusive mandate for the letting of a usable area of about 24,000 sqm in the premises, called "Am Fliegerhorst 1304". More than 7,000 sqm of the total area has already been let.

MSG Frucht, a fruit and vegetables supplier, will use the additional 4,100 sqm of warehouse space and 900 sqm of office space for the distribution of fruit, vegetables and convenience products across Germany. The air base also represents the largest continuous conversion area in the Frankfurt-Rhine-Main metropolitan area. The site was used as an air base by the US army between 1939 and 2007. At times, more than 6,000 soldiers and several helicopter teams were stationed here. The conversion of the former military base into an industrial site began in 2011.

The "Am Fliegerhorst 1304" project is situated in an area of the conversion space that has been designated for 24-hour logistics operations. The regional centre of Hanau and the "Hanauer Kreuz" transport hub are located only a few minutes away, while Frankfurt am Main can be reached in around 15 minutes. Several well-known companies are already based at the site, including packaging specialist DS Smith and logistics specialist Dachser. Wilhelm Brandenburg, the large meat processing company that is part of the REWE group, also plans to establish new premises here.
